Things have been a little quiet here at Mommy Wife & Life over the last two months. Posts have been far and few between and my social media accounts, especially the Facebook fan page, has never been quieter. I have not forgotten about you, and I certainly have no plans to continue to neglect the blog. I want to be honest, so let me cut to the chase.
My family and I are thrilled to share that baby #3 is on the way! We prayed for this child and our Father has granted our request. Our little one will be here in early October and we are in full preparation mode.
Breaking the News To Our Children
Our daughters have actually prayed for a sibling for many months now. They declared many times that we would have four kids in our home, “a girl baby and a boy baby”. I have to be honest, their words made me wonder whether God would soon be blessing us with twins or just one baby at a time. However, I am more than happy that this time around, only one baby is in this belly.
Our girls are extremely happy about being big sisters and have shared all the many things they hope to teach the baby and ways they can help care for the baby.
Like most three and four year olds, the girls have a lot of questions. Some of their questions about the baby include:
“Where is it?”
“How big is the baby?”
“When will it be here?”
Each Sunday we gather around my phone and check out an app that allows me to keep track of the baby’s growth, including how many weeks I am and the baby’s size in comparison to a fruit. It is a time we all look forward to.
How I Am Doing
I have been blessed to have had great pregnancies in the past and believed I would not be sick at any time of this pregnancy. God has been faithful and has kept all sickness away. Fatigue has been the only thing I have battled with, hence the silence treatment I have given you.
What You Can Look Forward To
I am slowly but surely jumping back into the swing of things and getting to work. I will continue to share all things family–parenting, education and marriage. Of course, you may see posts about babies and baby products I love for the next couple of years. Thank you for being patient with me (and the blog). I hope you can help my family and I celebrate this new life we are preparing to add to our family.
