I am a visual learner. Add a song or music to the learning process and I can almost guarantee you I will remember every bit of the topic being discussed or learned. Teaching pre-k and kindergarten students about science means hands-on activities and a lot of visuals. It sparks a greater interest in learning and removes the monotony of sitting in one place completing worksheets.
I recently taught a few different science-related topics by using the power of sound and instruments for kids. Musical instruments do more than add noise to a probably already noisy home or classroom, they offer students the opportunity to learn about many topics in an interesting way.
