A Great Devotional and Journal for Tweens from ZonderKidz | MommyWifeLife.com

I received a complimentary copy of the product for review purposes. Thoughts shared are 100% my own.

Getting tweens to verbally express themselves is as easy as getting our three year old to eat her vegetables. Sometimes our daughter is brave (and bribed) to try new foods but there isn’t a meal that we can guarantee she will devour. Tweens are similar. You never know when they will feel like sharing what they are feeling or going through, which is why they need an outlet.

I gifted two tweens devotionals this past Christmas. The reason was to encourage them to spend time with God during this critical and sometimes odd part of their adolescent lives. We all know what it was like as we entered the preteen and teen years, feeling unsure and insecure about body changes, handling situations with our peers, and dealing with parents to whom we felt we could not relate. ZonderKidz is sharing new resources to help tweens know God’s plan for their lives–a devotional and journal for tweens.

The Devotional

Jeremiah 29:11, the inspiration for the title of Amy Parker’s  I Know The Plans I Have For You devotional has been my favorite scripture since I was a teenager. It says, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Throughout my college career it provided me reassurance that God was with me and knew exactly what I was destined to do and be.

The 160 pages of the I Know The Plans I Have For You devotional offers an opportunity for children ages 8-12 years old to get to know themselves, and most importantly, God on a deeper level as well as words of encouragement and affirmation, and Bible stories and verses that will help readers get a better understanding of God’s love and purpose for their lives and a call-to-action.

The Journal

Both the author and illustrator, Vannessa Brantley-Newton (MommyWifeLife readers saw her work in this children’s book) are both moms, so they know what it’s like for Christian parents to desire their children to have a connection with God. The I Know The Plans I Have For You journal is designed for tween 11-14 years and prompts them for creative writing and thinking which facilitates their discovery of their uniqueness and God’s perfect plan.

Help the tween in your life start off the new year in the right direction by entering the giveaway. One winner will receive a copy of both the I Know The Plans I Have For You devotional and journal. There are many ways to enter. Scroll down to the entry form to get started. Contest closes January 15 at midnight.
